What type of eye doctor is Dr. Bhasin? Ophthalmologist or Optometrist?

Dr. Bhasin is an ophthalmologist (MD). She completed medical school, residency, and fellowship training. She performs eye surgery when necessary. She specializes in corneal diseases, cataracts, and dry eyes.

Adults (18 and over)


Do you accept medical insurance?

Yes! We accept MEDICAL insurance (not vision insurance). If you wish to use your vision insurance benefits, we can provide a receipt to you that you can submit to your vision insurance.


I don’t have insurance. Can i still make an appointment?

Yes! We offer discounted rates for anyone who wishes to pay in full at the time of service.


Can I get an updated glasses prescription?

Yes! This is known as a refraction. A refraction is a very important tool to determine the health of your eyes. It is not a covered service by most insurance plans. The cost of a refraction is $54 if paid in full at the time of service (regular price $108).


Can I get a new contact lens prescription?

No. Contact lens fitting require extensive storage of trial lenses. We do not offer this service at this time. However, if you are already a contact lens wearer and do not need a new fitting (just an updated Rx), we are happy to update your prescription. Please bring your contacts as well as the box with the current Rx on it.


How long will my appointment take?

A new patient exam with dilation should take approximately 1 hour. We do not overbook appointment slots, request all paperwork to be completed online beforehand, and therefore strive for minimal wait times.


Do you offer a friends & family or VIP discount?

No. We strongly believe that all our patients are VIP’s. We do offer same day payment discounts.
